Issues and
Resolutions:
The Captains met at Juan Aleman's home. This is the result of that meeting: 1. We will use the web site, developed by Rosita Steffensen, to communicate the Usher schedules. Please check the web site for the current information http://saint-katharine-drexel.com/ and then go to the Ushers & Greeters page. 2. The Captains will email the next month schedule to Rosita 2 weeks prior to the start of that month. |

3. It is the Usher's responsibility to adhere to the schedule or find a replacement for themselves. Also, they must alert the Captain of any changes needed or replacements obtained. Please have you schedule requests in to the Captains 20 days prior to the next month. 4. The Captains will give witness at the Easter Sunday masses. Jack Bishop, Captain of the 6 PM Mass, will probably have to give witness the following Sunday being there is no 6 PM mass on Easter Sunday. 5. THE HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE IS ATTACHED AS AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET. Rosita will put the schedule on the website for your convenience and reference This will be the norm. 6. Jack Bishop will start working with Cindy Skidmore, Youth Minister, to train the youth for 6 PM Mass. This will be a gradual process with very close adult supervision. 7. The 6 PM Mass is a bilingual Mass and requires bilingual Ushers. We are requesting all bilingual Ushers and/or Spanish speaking Ushers to rotate between the morning and 6 PM Masses. Please Contact Jack Bishop to schedule. 8. Considering the heat, we have decided to purchase St. Katharine logo dress shirts for the Ushers. They will be long sleeve white with blue embroidery. Please email me your specific sizes and sleeve lengths. (like 16 1/2 - 35 for the men). There will be a charge for these shirts but we feel it will be more comfortable and cooler than coats, ties, dresses, etc. 9. Joe Preite needs help setting up the Mass on Saturdays 1 PM. Please, if you are free show up at the school and give Joe a hand. Also, he needs help on Wednesday prior to the penitential service to set up. Please contact Joe if you can help. 10. The bulletin Board on the
web site is used for posting notes. Please, if you need to change your
schedule, contact the Captain and explain your scheduling conflict. I want to give special recognition to Rosita Steffensen for developing our web site and offering to do the maintenance necessary to keep it current. Thank you Rosita! |
