Visiting Tupetiac, site of the Fifth Apparition where the Church of the Healing has been built.

The Lady of Heaven healed Juan Bernardino (Saint Juan Diego's uncle) and asked that she should be called Holy Mary of Guadalupe.

The Maguey Cactus

In Tupetiac, one of the locals explained to us the qualities of the maguey cactus.  The cloak, tilma, where the Image was imprinted was made of fiber from the maguey cactus.   Experts say this fabric should have disintegrated after twenty to sixty years but the image has remained intact for almost 500 years.

We had lunch at the "Teocali" Restaurant - the  food was good and the music was great.
