Monthly Meetings Format

I. The meeting should begin at 9:00 a.m. and last 90 minutes. It should never last more than 120 minutes.

II. The meeting will be preceded by a Mass or Communion Service, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

III. Coffee will be prepared for all attendees. The attendees are free to serve themselves at any time during the meeting.

IV. INVOCATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT. An opening prayer invoking the Holy Spirit will be led by one of the attendees.

The prayer is to be followed by a song. (5 min)

V. PROCLAMATION OF THE GOSPEL. The reading is to be selected by the person who is giving the talk that month.

VI. PRESENTATION. A previously assigned speaker will give a short talk based on one of the Retreat’s “Loving God

Through…”talks. This talk will be discussed in small groups, if the format calls for it. (10-15 min)

VII. SMALL GROUPS. The meeting will then be divided into small groups of no more than 6-8 people according to the language

preference and/or at random. Each group will have one facilitator to lead the discussion dynamic.

VIII. INTERCESSORY PRAYER. After the groups have completed their discussions, all of the groups will come back together to

have the final intercessory prayer. All of the members will be able to ask for any of their particular needs or petitions during

this prayer.

IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PLANS. Discussion of upcoming events and plans.

X. END OF MEETING

XI. DONATION BASKET. There will be a “Donation Basket” which will have two overseers for accounting and treasury.

The attendees will be asked to donate according to their ability. These funds will be used for Emmaus activities.

This is strictly voluntary.

Formato - Reuniones Mensuales

I La reunión mensual será los primeros sábados de cada mes. Empezará a las 9:00 A.M., debe durar 90 minutos y nunca

prolongarse más de 120 minutos.

II. La reunión estará precedida por una Misa o servicio de comunión, que comienza a las 8:30 A.M. (30 min).

De no haber misa o servicio de comunión, habrá un rosario meditado o algún otro tipo de oración comunitaria.

III. Habrá café preparado para los asistentes, que se podrá servir en cualquier momento durante la reunión.

REUNIÓN OFICIAL

IV. INVOCACIÓN AL ESPÍRITU SANTO. Oración hecha por un participante voluntario. La oración será seguida por una canción.

(5 min)

V. PROCLAMACIÓN DEL EVANGELIO. A escoger por el charlista y luego se ha de compartir (5 min)

VI. PRESENTACIÓN. Charla relacionada a uno de los cinco tópicos del Retiro.

Será hecha por un participante previamente señalado el mes anterior y que también será compartida o discutida en

pequeños grupos. (10-15 min)

VII. FORMACIÓN DE PEQUEÑOS GRUPOS. Los participantes se dividirán en pequeños grupos de 6 a 8, si así lo requiere el

formato de la presentación, que serán escogidos a la suerte. Un facilitador en cada grupo coordinará la dinámica.(30-40 min)

VIII ORACIÓN INTERCESORA. Reagrupar a todos los presentes para una oración intercesora final, en la que todos y cada uno

pueden y deben hacer una breve petición o alabanza.(15 min)

IX. ANUNCIOS Y PLANES. Presentación de las próximas actividades.

X. FIN DE LA REUNION.

XI. DONACIÓN VOLUNTARIA. La cesta de donaciones para actividades caritativas del grupo estará siempre disponible.

Dos miembros del grupo serán nombrados responsables de mantener una contabilidad y mantener al grupo informado.

XII. SUGERENCIAS:

Periódicamente mencionar las siguientes reglas:

d. Humildad

Se sugiere también que los hermanos de Emaús almuercen juntos cada tres o cuatro meses, inmediatamente después de la reunión mensual.
